Peter Maguire has been in the field of contamination monitoring and control for 20 years. As the Vice President of System Applications for Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions, Peter has provided contamination control training to hundreds of companies across the Life Science, Electronics and Cannabis industries. Using his experience in clean manufacturing environments and standard operating procedures he has helped companies identify and solve contamination issues that were costing them hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost product.
Peter has been involved in the cannabis industry for 6 years as a cultivator, consultant, speaker, and writer of standards. Since 2014 he has headed up the Cultivation Committee for the Foundation of Cannabis Unified Standards (FOCUS). The first line of defense against yield loss due to contamination is proper facility design. However, without proper procedures in place, the time and money spent on design are often wasted. This presentation will cover the basics of facility design and then go into detail on proper operating procedures that will lead to reducing or eliminating crop loss due to contamination.
